ਕੋਣ ਇੰਝ ਮੁਸਕਾ ਰਿਹੈ
ਪੀੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਟਿਆ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਖੌਲਦੇ ਸਾਗਰ 'ਚ ਵੀ
ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਖਾਂ ਲਾ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਸਰਦਲ ਤੇ ਬਹਿ
ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਹੀ ਗਾ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਪਤੈ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਫੂਕਣੀ
ਝੁੱਗੀ ਕਲੀ ਕਰਾ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਰਿਹਾ 
ਕੁੱਝ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਦੀਵੇ ਦੇ ਚਾਅ ਮਚਲ ਗਏ
ਤੂਫ਼ਾਂ' ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਮੱਛਲੀਆਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ
ਸਾਗਰ 'ਚ ਪੰਡਾ ਨਹਾ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਕੁੱਕੜਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੋਣੀ ਮੰਨ ਲਈ
ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦਾ ਖਾ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਧੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਆਈਆਂ ਵਿਕਦੀਆਂ 
ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਭਾਅ ਰਿਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਚੱਕਰਵਿਊ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ
ਹੈ ਕੋਣ ਕਿਸਨੂੰ ਭਜਾ ਰਿਹੈ।
