ਜਦ ਸਿਖਰ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਸੀ ਉਮਰਾਂ ਦੀ,
ਅਸੀਂ ਰੋਗ ਇਸ਼ਕ ਦਾ ਲਾ ਬੈਠੇ,
ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ਼ਕ ਨੇ ਪਾਗਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਭੁਲਾ ਬੈਠੇ,
ਅਸੀਂ ਬਣਕੇ ਪੀੜ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਦੀ,
ਜਿੰਦ ਹੁਸਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਖਾ ਬੈਠੇ,
ਸਾਡੀ ਹਸਰਤ ਚੰਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸੀ,
ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਉਡਾਰੀ ਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸੀ,
ਪਰ ਅੰਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡਦੇ ਉੱਡਦੇ,
ਅਸੀ ਖੁਦ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆ ਬੈਠੇ.

seeing you doing well is my satisfaction,
