ਚੁੱਪ ਦੀ ਕੁਟੀਆ

ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਗਹਿਰੀ ਚੁੱਪ

ਇਸੇ ਲਈ

ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਰੰਗ

ਫਲਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਨੇ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਰਸ

ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਚੁਣਿਆਂ ਇਹਨੂੰ

ਆਪਣੇ ਆਲ੍ਹਣਿਆਂ ਖਾਤਰ

ਮੈਂ ਲੰਬੇ ਤੇ ਥਕਾਵਟ ਭਰੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ‘ਚ

ਰੁਕਦਾਂ

ਘੜੀ-ਪਲ਼

ਇਹਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਹੇਠ

ਜੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ

ਬਿਖਰੇ ਪੈਂਡਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ

ਮੈਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਰਦਾ

ਚੁੱਪ ਕਿਥੇ ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੀ …।।

ਗੱਲਾਂ ਰਸ ਦੀਆਂ, ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ, ਆਰਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ, ਛਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ, ਧੁਪ ਦੀਆਂ, ਆਹ੍ਲ੍ਨੇੰ ਦੇ ਬੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਦੀਆਂ, ਚੁਪ ਦੀਆਂ ... ਆਹਾ !! ਇਹ ਕ੍ਲਾੱਸਿਕ ਪੋਏਟ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਲਛਣ ਹਨ !
